Worked using computers since the mid 1980’s when Commodore launched the Commodore 64 Home PC. In those days the computer was programmed using an audio cassette tape in a recorder.
Since then computers and their operating systems have come a very long way. It’s become big business as a home personal computer has become a standard item in the home for communications on the internet.
Outside of the home the computer has been made portable for ease of use thanks to the availability of low power consumption, light weight LCD screens to replace the traditional Cathode Ray Tube monitor.
Meanwhile the operating system software has also changed dramatically. Gone is the individual Disk Operating System (DOS) where instructions were given line by line. Instead we now have a user interface based on a windows system with icons on a desktop which reminds me very much of an old Commodore Operating System just being introduced as they went out of business.
That’s life we have to adapt to change. Computers are advancing all the time, as are the peripheral devices around them. I have experienced these changes over time and now feel I can offer a service to help others achieve an improved experience with their home computers. Computers don’t have to be a “CrankyPC”
